Get an alert when you enter or leave an area

A geofence is a circle around a location. In MapNero, choose the centre and radius, then set an alert for entry, exit or both.

Set up and try your first geofence

1. Choose a location. Open Settings → Geofences. You can also select a map feature and choose Notify where available. Check the centre on the map before saving.
2. Set a radius and choose alerts. Give the fence a name and select entry, exit or both. Keep the fence enabled.
3. Check permissions and test it. Allow the location and notification permissions requested by the app. Try crossing a boundary at a familiar place, then open Geofence History to check the event.

Alerts depend on the device’s location, permissions and monitoring status. Check the status in MapNero before relying on an alert.
